Arkwright Scholar
The future of design and engineering is dependent on emergent talent. The Arkwright programme supports promising students passionate about pursuing careers in design and engineering.
Each year the Happold Trust sponsors five year 11 students on a two year scholarship on the Arkwright programme. Arkwright scholars are ambassadors in their school departments. They receive financial support, attend career awareness days, and have invaluable opportunities for networking with Arkwright Alumni and others.
There are currently over 600 schools benefitting from the Arkwright programme. Schools offering Design & Technology, or subjects related to Engineering can apply to become affiliated. Year 11 students (S4 in Scotland) of affiliated schools are invited to apply for scholarships each year.
