RedR is an international charity providing training and recruitment services to improve responses to natural disasters around the world. They aim to ensure that competent, skilled people are readily available to respond to humanitarian needs.
Engineers without Borders (EWB)
EWB-UK is an international NGO which involves engineers and engineering students in construction projects in the developing world.
The Campaign for Drawing is an independent charity whose long term aim is to change the way drawing is perceived by educationalists and the public. They regard drawing as a basic human skill, and a tool for thought, creativity, and social engagement. Their recent publication series "Power Drawing" demonstrates how engineers, architects and others use drawing in their daily work.
The Worshipful Company of Constructors
The Worshipful Company of Constructors is a City of London Livery Company, for professionals working within the construction industry. The company and the Happold Trust jointly award an annual Sustainability Scholarship for recent graduates. The scholarship is for one years research, primarily with a focus on sustainable environmental engineering.
The Usable Buildings Trust is committed to ensuring that buildings are more efficient, through detailed research of feedback throughout a buildings life-cycle.
The Happold Trust commissioned the New Economic Foundation (NEF) to deliver The Building Well Being Project Findings which aims to establish how aspects of a building, including its design and use, affect the well-being of the people who use it.
