Oliver spent the summer of his final year as a Happold Scholar, working at the Buro Happold office in Bath.
"The mentorship I have received has allowed me to grow as a person and engineer and my position here in the Special Project Group has allowed me to meet and work with some extraordinary architects and artists."

Since graduating, Oliver secured a permanent position with Buro Happold, New York in 2002. He has been involved with several fascinating projects including the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (Troy, NY), numerous architectural glass installations with the Artist Tom Patti, the United States Institute of Peace (Washington, DC) and the Porter House (New York). He recently completed the structural engineering efforts for a unique, large scale transformable video screen for the U2 360 degree Tour working closely with the designer Chuck Hoberman. He is also the structural descipline leader for the 'Adaptive Building Initiative (ABI), a new joint venture between BH and Hoberman Associates.
