School Building, Uganda
New Build Uganda helps rural communities build schools, and construct, repair, or improve water collection systems and sanitation facilities.
The Happold Trust donates funds to New Build Uganda, which are used for construction work and a skills transfer pilot scheme. The scheme was set up to provide teaching and experience for students from technical colleges in the design process and project management of a building project. Recent students on the scheme helped build three new classrooms and a 10,000 litre water tank at Kabowa Primary School, Bagessa sub-county.
